INTERIM RESULTS AND PROBLEMS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE METHODOLOGY FOR EVALUATION OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE SCIENTIFIC INSTITUTIONS OF THE NAS OF UKRAINE

The article deals with the stages of implementation of the “Methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of the activities of scientific institutions of the NAS of Ukraine”. The developed methodology is intended to provide an objective, open and transparent evaluation of the activities of scientific institutions, and the evaluation results are approved by independent experts on the basis of qualitative analysis covering various aspects of the institution's activities. The interim results of the evaluation of the performance of the NASU institutions are analyzed. It is determined that (as of July 18, 2019) 115 institutions have passed the evaluation procedure with the approval of its results (85.2% of the total number of institutions that are part of NASU). 77.4% of the evaluated institutions were assigned to category "A" (leading institutions in many scientific fields). The authors examined the main problems encountered during the evaluation procedure and suggested possible solutions.
