ON THE MODERN STATE AND PROSPECTS OF FUNDAMENTAL AND APPLIED RESEARCH AT THE ELECTRON ACCELERATOR (MICROTRON) M-30
According to the materials of scientific report at the meeting of the Presidium of NAS of Ukraine, October 12, 2016
Abstract:
The report presents the history of the first nuclear academic department in Transcarpathia, the main parameters of microtron M-30 (1–30 MeV) and the significant results obtained by Uzhhorod scientists during recent years. The prospects of the new studies in the field of nuclear physics and radiation physics of solid state by using the M-30 microtron are outlined. It is shown that unique parameters of the M-30 microtron as well as the monoenergetic spectrum of the electron beam, the possibilities of realizing the intense irradiation neutron or gamma fields are very attractive for numerous applications: from nuclear power and space engineering to nuclear medicine and radioecology.
