THE ROLE OF BIOLOGICAL NITROGEN IN NITROGEN NUTRITION OF PLANTS

The article considers the importance of biological nitrogen in increasing the productivity of agricultural plants and the fertility of soils. The state and prospects of fundamental research in the field of atmospheric nitrogen biological fixation are characterized, the advantages of microbial nitrogen fixing preparations are shown in comparison with nitrogen fertilizers.
