About the Ecological Consequences of the Destruction of the Kakhovska HPP Dam

Abstract

The report presents the results of a complex of studies conducted at the Institute of Hydrobiology of the NAS of Ukraine for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of ecosystem transformations caused by the destruction of the Kakhovska hydroelectric power plant dam, as well as an analysis of the further course of processes caused by this disaster and possible negative consequences for the environment. Proposals have been prepared for the executive authorities to take the necessary measures.
